We collate all our books, checking page-by-page for any defect, and comparing them to copies held by major libraries around the world to ensure completeness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We provide in-depth and expansive descriptions of each book we offer on sale; these can be viewed both on our website and on our catalogues and thematic lists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our descriptions we note the condition, completeness, and authenticity of the book, which we guarantee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should you find any book purchased from us unsatisfactory for any<\/strong> reason, you can return it for a full refund within 14 days of the date of purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have been describing books for in excess of forty years, and take great pains to get it right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sokol Books Ltd are members of the Antiquarian Booksellers\u2019 Association<\/a> (ABA). As the ABA website states<\/a>, ‘members are elected solely on the basis of proven experience, expertise and integrity’. As elected members, we adhere to the ABA Code<\/a> which includes, amongst other things, pledging ‘to guarantee of the authenticity of all material offered for sale’.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We are also members of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers<\/a> (ILAB). Membership of the League requires adherence to the ILAB Code of Usages and Customs<\/a> and is only granted to booksellers who have ‘demonstrated expertise, excellence, and experience as rare booksellers’.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Our customers can now complete their purchases without leaving our website. Simply select either ‘bank transfer’ (our preferred method of payment) or ‘card payment’ at checkout. Once payment has been processed, we will be in touch via email with a PDF invoice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that there is a \u00a35,000 limit on all card payments made directly through our website;<\/strong> in order to pay for books that are over this limit by card, please submit an enquiry form and we will be in touch shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are welcome to submit an enquiry prior to purchasing a book. Please include any queries you might have about the item; we are very happy to provide additional photos or information, or to arrange a viewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
